Veteran agent leaving at end of year

Devra Lieb is retiring from the Gersh Agency as co-head of the agency’s motion picture literary department at the end of the year.

Her departure will end a 27-year working partnership with Bob Hohman and Bayard Maybank, who will continue as co-heads of the Gersh department.

Gersh acquired the trio’s tenpercentery Hohman, Maybank and Lieb three years ago. The agents first met in 1986 at Triad and formed their own shingle five years later.

Lieb said she plans to stay out of the business once she retires. “I”m looking forward to pajamas, fuzzy slippers and hair curlers,” she added.

Hohman said, “We’ve been delighted to be at Gersh, which has been incredibly gracious about Devra’s retirement. “
