‘The Woman in Black’ Sequel Begins Filming, Releases Stills

Woman in Black Angel of Death

For fans of British horror, there’s some good news. “The Woman in Black: Angel of Death” has begun filming, as Hammer and eOne announced today, and new stills of pic featuring stars Phoebe Fox, Jeremy Irvine and Helen McCrory have been released.

The film is the follow-up to 2012’s “The Woman in Black,” based on the novel by Susan Hill and starring Daniel Radcliffe, which culled $127 millon in the worldwide box office. Tom Harper is directing and Jon Croker penned the screenplay.

For Fox, who is in a still with Irvine, the horror film is her first lead role in a feature film. She previously worked with Harper on “War Book.” Irvine is known for “War Horse” and “Great Expectations,” and McCrory’s past credits include “Skyfall,” “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” and “Hugo.”

“The Woman in Black: Angel of Death” will be released in the UK Feb. 2015.
