‘Warcraft’ Movie Adding Daniel Wu, Clancy Brown

Shooting starting in January in Vancouver

Legendary Pictures and Universal Pictures have added American-Hong Kong actor Daniel Wu and “Homefront” thesp Clancy Brown to the cast of vidgame adaptation “Warcraft.”

Charles Roven, Thomas Tull, Jon Jashni and Alex Gartner will produce with Brit helmer Duncan Jones directing from a Charles Leavitt script that Jones rewrote. Production is set to begin as planned in Vancouver this January.

Legendary has tapped Ben Foster, Toby Kebbell and Rob Kazinsky for the lead roles in “Warcraft.” Travis Fimmel and Paula Patton are also on board.

Logline for the adaptation of the Blizzard Entertainment game is described as “an epic adventure of world-colliding conflict.”

Wu has been nominated for a lead actor award at the Golden Horse Film Festival for “Night Corridor” and “Like a Dream.” Other credits include “New Police Story” and “One Night in Mogkok.”

Wu is repped by CAA and Brown by ICM Partners.
