FilmDistrict has dated Elizabeth Banks comedy “Walk of Shame” for a U.S. release on Sept. 20.

Banks portrays an aspiring reporter whose dreams of becoming a network news anchor are compromised after a one-night stand leaves her stranded in downtown Los Angeles.

Walk of Shame,” directed by Steven Brill from his own script, co-stars James Marsden and Gillian Jacobs. The movie is produced by Lakeshore Entertainment and Sidney Kimmel Entertainment.

“Walk of Shame” will open against Relativity’s comedy “Malavita,” Warner Bros. action-thriller “Prisoners” and Universal’s auto racing drama “Rush.”
