Poland's American FIlm Fest to host works-in-progress screenings for buyers
Six films have been selected for this year’s U.S. in Progress Wroclaw, an initiative that aims to introduce independent U.S. films in post-production to European buyers and festivals.
The two-day event will take place at the fourth annual American Film Festival in Wroclaw, Poland from Oct. 23-25.
The films selected include three dramas: Mike Ott’s “Lake Los Angeles,” Stephen Elliott’s “Happy Baby” and Cameron Nelson’s “Some Beasts.” Lawrence Michael Levine’s crime yarn “Wild Canaries,” Evan Wolf Buxbaum black comedy “Sun Belt Express” and Onur Tukel’s comedy “Summer of Blood” round out the list.
A jury will dole out awards to select finalists. Prizes include $60,000 worth of post-production services from European partner companies and promotional services from other partners.
