Tom Arnold Visits 'Downers Grove'

He will play an abusive dad in helmer Derick Martini's indie thriller

Tom Arnold has joined indie thriller “The Curse of Downers Grove” opposite Bella Heathcote, Lucas Till and Kevin Zegers.

Directed by Derick Martini from a script he co-wrote with Bret Easton Ellis and adapted from Michael Hornburg’s novel, pic centers on a paranoid high school senior who is worried about an apparent curse that takes the life of one student every year at the school.

Arnold will portray a brutal and abusive father who keeps his son (Zegers) supplied with steroids for his would-be pro-football career. Oren Segal, Jason Dubin and Chiara Trento are producing.

Arnold was most recently seen opposite Dax Shepherd, Kristen Bell and Bradley Cooper in the feature, “Hit and Run.” He also hosts “My Big Redneck Vacation” on CMT.

Arnold is repped by APA and Erik Kritzer of KLWGN Entertainment.
