‘The Following’s’ Kyle Catlett Joins MGM’s ‘Poltergeist’

Would co-star with Sam Rockwell and Rosemarie DeWitt

The Following” actor Kyle Catlett is looking to go from being terrorized by serial killers to being spooked by ghosts in MGM’s reboot of “Poltergeist.”

Sam Rockwell and Rosemarie DeWitt are already set to star, with Gil Kenan directing. David Lindsay-Abaire is penning the script.

Story follows the Bowen family, whose life is suddenly disrupted after a supernatural force takes over their home and begins terrorizing them. Catlett will play one of the Bowen children.

Sam Raimi and Rob Tapert will produce through their Ghost House Pictures banner along with Roy Lee, while Nathan Kahane will exec produce.

Besides “The Following,” Catlett is now looking to ramp up his film career with his upcoming Weinstein Co. pic “The Young and Prodigious Spivet,” which could have award season potential once it bows this October. He is repped by DBA.

    NOT ‘Poltergeist.” Please, Please, Please don’t ruin “Poltergeist.” It’s my favorite spook movie to date. Make a prequel or sequel BUT DO NOT REDO…please! You are going to ruin the memory of a PERFECT FILM! DO NOT REDO “POLTERGEIST.” Must do sequel or something else.
