TF1 Intl. laffers head for Rendez-Vous

'Serial Teachers,' 'Josephine,' 'Adulteen' to be presented at Paris mart

Gaul’s TF1 Intl. has unveiled three laffers ahead of the Unifrance Rendez-vous film mini-mart, which kicks off in Paris on Tuesday.

TF1 Intl. reps the pics — “Serial Teachers,” “Josephine, Single and Fabulous” and “The Adulteen” — in international markets, while UGC Distribution, partly owned by TF1, will release in France.

Based on the popular comicbook by Erroc and Pica, “Serial Teachers” (Les profs) is helmed by Pierre Francois Martin-Laval (“Kill Guillaume”). It turns on a group of inept teachers on a mission to improve a failing school’s success rate. Pic stars Christian Clavier (“Les visiteurs”), Isabelle Laval and Kev Adams.

Pic will bow on April 17. Victory Prods. and Frenetic will release the film in Belgium and Switzerland, respectively.

Helmed by Agnes Obadia, “Josephine” stars Marilou Berry (“Ugly Melanie”) as real-life comicbook artist turned blogger Penelope Bagieu. The film is inspired by her book, “Ma vie est tout a fait fascinante” (My Life Is Absolutely Fascinating”). It will be released on June 12.

Director Tristan Seguela’s “The Adulteen” is a high-concept fish-out-of-water comedy toplining Laurent Lafitte (“On the Other Side of the Tracks”) as a successful man who suffers from a rare pathology that makes him endure a late teenage crisis.

All three are produced by Les Films du 24.
