Germany’s Tele Muenchen Group has picked Afonso Poyart’s mystery-thriller “Solace,” starring Colin Farrell and Anthony Hopkins.

The deal for the FilmNation Entertainment title includes all German and Austrian rights.

The film centres on Hopkins’ character, a former doctor with supernatural abilities who comes up against a powerful adversary while working for the FBI.

Beau Flynn (“Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters “) and Thomas Augsberger (“Mr. Brooks”) are producing “Solace,” which begins shooting in Atlanta in May.

TMG’s Concorde Filmverleih will release the pic in Germany next year.
