Talent manager Gerry Harrington dies

Repped Nicolas Cage, Stallone, Big Audio Dynamite

Gerald “Gerry” Harrington, Jr., personal manager in the entertainment business who guided the careers of Nicolas Cage, Gary Sinise, and Sylvester Stallone, among others, died Feb. 9 of natural causes. He was 50.

Harrington began his career as a talent agent at APA, where he represented clients such as Tom Waits, Joe Strummer, and Crispin Glover in the music and film industry. He then joined Industry Entertainment as a personal manager, representing Cage and Christopher among others. At Brillstein Grey Entertainment, he managed Cage, Sinise, Stallone as well as Rod Lurie, Rosanna Arquette and many others.

Harrington ultimately left Brillstein Grey to work in the music side of the business. He managed Big Audio Dynamite and launched their recent European tour.

A native of Bronxville, N.Y., Harrington graduated from Georgetown U. in 1984 and began his career in the William Morris mailroom in New York City.

He is survived by two daughters, his mother and his brother.
