Sundance: ‘We Are What We Are’ gobbled by eOne

Toronto-based Entertainment One (eOne) has closed a deal to acquire U.S. rights to “We Are What We Are,” the cannibalism horror thriller that premiered in the midnight section at Sundance.

Terms were not disclosed and a late 2013 theatrical release was planned.

Variety’s mostly positive review said “We Are What We Are” “steers just shy of silliness even at its most outrageous is in large part thanks to a committed cast of non-disposable character actors.”
