Guiraudie’s erotic suspenser played in Un Certain Regard

Strand Releasing has nabbed all North American rights to Alain Guiraudie’s erotic suspenser “Stranger at the Lake,” which preemed in Cannes’ Un Certain Regard.

Set against the backdrop of a cruising spot for men, pic centers on Franck (Pierre de Ladonchamps), who finds himself drawn to Michel (Christophe Paou), who may be a killer.

Deal was negotiated by Films du Losange’s head of sales, Agathe Valentin, and Jon Gerrans, co-founder of Strand Releasing.
