“She understands our culture, and with her experience, I’m confident she will find innovative new ways to expand and enhance our Spectrum program,” said Paul Martin, Sony Entertainment senior VP of global recruitment and inclusion, people and organization.
The initiative seeks to recognize individual talents of all cultures and backgrounds while promoting values and differences across Sony’s global workforce. Spectrum will provide internship and leadership programs that will affect current and aspiring employees of Sony. Hatamiya will head Spectrum’s day-to-day operations to cater to Sony consumers, communities and vendors as well as employees.
Hatamiya has worked at Sony since 2003, most recently as part of Sony Pictures Television’s marketing division. She previously held senior positions in film and television at HBO and Imagine Entertainment.
