Sony Classics ready to ‘Kill Your Darlings’

Distrib nearing seven figure deal that calls for fall release in U.S.

Sony Pictures Classics is wrapping up a deal to acquire U.S. and select foreign rights to John Krokidas’ period drama “Kill Your Darlings,” sources familiar with the negotiations have confirmed to Variety.

Seven figure deal calls for a fall release date, according to sources.

Pic, which preemed in competition Friday night at Sundance, stars Daniel Radcliffe, Dane DeHaan, Ben Foster, Jack Huston, Michael C. Hall and Elizabeth Olsen.

Krokidas and Austin Bunn co-wrote the script, which follows the untold story of a murder that brought together college-aged Beats Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs.

UTA and Cassian Elwes negotiated the deal on behalf of the filmmakers.
