Sean Young visits ‘Police State’

Actress to star in indie sci-fi film directed by Kevin Arbouet

Sean Young has come onboard in a lead role in indie sci-fi thriller “Police State” opposite Chris Riggi.

The Vladar Co. production is produced by Vlad Yudin and producing partner Edwin Mejia. Kevin Arbouet (“Last Day of Summer”) is directing from his own screenplay.

Neal Bledsoe (“Smash”) and Alice Callahan (“Gossip Girl”) also star.

Story centers on unraveling a potential nationwide terrorist plot after a series of bombings begin to cripple Manhattan.

Vladar recently wrapped production on the docudrama “Generation Iron,” about the world of competitive bodybuilding. The company is also partnered with Arcana Comics for the adaptation of the sci-fi graphic novel “Head Smash” and the paranormal thriller “Catskill Park.”

Young, best known for “Blade Runner” and “No Way Out,” had a recurring role in 2010 on “The Young and the Restless.”
