Roadside Attractions has dated Steven Knight’s Jason Statham starrer “Redemption” for a limited release on June 28.

The action film, which originally was titled “Hummingbird,” marks the directorial debut for Knight, who also penned the script about an ex-special forces soldier looking for justice.

“Redemption” launches alongside Sony’s “White House Down,” starring Channing Tatum and Jaime Foxx, and Fox’s R-rated comedy “The Heat.” In limited release, Sony Classics launches Pedro Almodovar’s “I’m So Excited,” with IFC pair “Byzantium” and “Copperhead” also bowing that weekend.

“Redemption” is being released in partnership with IM Global and Lionsgate, which will distribute the film titled “Hummingbird” day-and-date in the U.K.
