Romancer stars Mbatha-Raw, Parker, Driver

Relativity has set romancer “Blackbird” for a U.S. release on Nov. 14, 2014.

The film stars Gugu Mbatha-Raw (“Touch”), Nate Parker, Minnie Driver, Colson “MGK” Baker and Danny Glover.  Gina Prince-Bythewood (“Love & Basketball”) wrote and directed the film, which was produced by Stephanie Allain, Reggie Rock Bythewood, Ryan Kavanaugh and Amar’e Stoudemire.

Tucker Tooley and Matt Alvarez serve as executive producers.

Mbatha-Raw, pictured above on left, stars as a new award-winning artist who is primed for superstardom until the pressure causes her to nearly fall apart. She then falls for a promising young cop whose been assigned to her detail.

Mbatha-Raw starred in Amma Assante’s period drama “Belle,” which premiered at Toronto.

Sony’s launching Brad Pitt’s untitled war drama and Universal’s opening “Dumb and Dumber To” on Nov. 14.
