Relativity to flush out ‘Turkeys’ early

Studio moves Reel FX animated feature up by a year and two weeks

Relativity Media and Reel FX have moved the release of animated comedy “Turkeys” to November 1, more than a year ahead of its previous date.

Relativity had originally set the pic, directed by Jimmy Hayward, for November 14 of next year.

Scott Mosier, Craig Mazin, John Strauss and David l. Stern are producing the pic from a script by Stern and Strauss with a rewrite by Mazin.

Film features the voices of Owen Wilson, Woody Harrelson, Amy Poehler and George Takei. Relativity plans to announce additional casting, according to a press release Friday announcing the date change.

Film has been in development since 2009. Production commenced in 2011.
