Relativity Signs New Output Deals with India, Greece

Relativity Media has announced new foreign output deals with India distribution shingle Tanweer and Greece’s Feelgood distribution.

Relativity’s International head Camela Galano will oversee the deals, which expire in 2016.

Tanweer will distribute Relativity and Reel FX’s upcoming animated comedy “Free Birds as well as the Untitled Armored Car Project starring Jim Carrey. Tanweer previously distributed Relativity’s film adaptation of Nicholas Sparks “Safe Haven” and “Movie 43.”

Feelgood will also distribute the animated comedy “Free Birds” in addition to Luc Besson’s action comedy “Malavita.”
Relativity’s nearly 30 worldwide output agreements are a major part of its business model, and the company has said it pays for nearly all its films’ budgets — if not more — through foreign presales.

Relativity’s network of existing foreign output partners includes Sahamongkol Distribution (Thailand), EOne (Canada and U.K.) and TriPictures (Spain).
