After acquiring “20 Feet From Stardom” on Friday, Radius-TWC has just closed its second deal of Sundance, picking up North American rights to Stacie Passon’s directorial debut “Concussion.”Radius expects to release the film in early fall, and the deal was for low seven figures according to sources. Provocative drama stars Robin Weigert (“Deadwood”) as a forty-something married lesbian housewife who decides to make drastic changes to her suburban life and become a high-end escort after being concussed by a baseball. Rose Troche produced while Anthony Cupo and Cliff Chenfeld exec produced the mid-life crisis pic, which co-stars Maggie Siff, Johnathan Tchaikovsky, Julie Fain Lawrence, Emily Kinney and Laila Robins. “We were mesmerized by ‘Concussion’ and the job Stacie did in creating such rich, relatable characters. This film made an indelible impression anchored by Robin’s exceptional performance – - one of the best we’ve seen on screen in a very long time,” said Radius co-presidents Tom Quinn and Jason Janego. “RADiUS is continuing to define itself as a home for artists.
