Sales shingle takes tights to Danquart pic

Mimi Steinbauer’s Radiant Films Intl. has boarded Pepe Danquart’s World War II drama “Run Boy Run.”

Radiant is handling worldwide sales, including the U.S.

Based on Uri Orlev’s 2004 bestseller, the film tells the true story of 9-year-old Jurek, who escapes from the Warsaw ghetto in 1942 and learns to survive in the nearby woods until the end of the war.

Heinrich Hadding (“Pope Joan”) wrote the script.

A German-French co-production, “Run Boy Run” is produced by Danquart’s Berlin-based Bittersuess Pictures, Cine-Sud/Vandertastic, A Company, B.A. Produktion and Quintefilm.

NFP is distributing the film in Germany while A Company will release it in Eastern Europe and Russia through its subsidiaries and partners, including Poland, where Kino Swiat will bring the film to theaters this fall.
