Phillips tapped for Witherspoon’s ‘Invited’

Scribe to rewrite DreamWorks comedy

Up-and-coming scribe John Phillips has been set to rewrite the DreamWorks pic “Who Invited Her?,” which Reese Witherspoon is producing.

Sascha Rothchild penned the original draft. Witherspoon will produce through her Type A Films banner along with Gary Foster and Russ Krasnoff.

The comedy follows a woman who invites herself to a bachelor party weekend. It’s unknown at this point if Witherspoon will also star in the pic.

Phillips is currently writing and developing “Bad Santa 2,” with Billy Bob Thornton set to return, as well as Universal’s “Dirty Grandpa.”

Phillips is repped by UTA.
