Paul Walker’s ‘Hours’ Gets U.S. Distribution

Pantelion sets Dec. 13 release date

Pantelion Films has acquired U.S. and Canadian distribution rights to Hurricane Katrina thriller “Hours,” starring Paul Walker and Genesis Rodriguez.

Pantelion, a partnership between Lionsgate and Televisa, will release “Hours” theatrically and on VOD on Dec. 13.

“Hours” is directed by Eric Heisserer (“Final Destination 5”) and produced by the Safran Company (“The Conjuring”) in conjunction with Palmstar Media and the Hirsch Group.

The movies is set during the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and follows a father’s desperate attempt to keep his newborn daughter alive in the wake of the storm’s destruction. Pantelion execs found the film at this year’s South by Southwest  Festival.

Walker stars in the “Fast and Furious” films. Rodriguez starred in “Identity Thief” and “The Last Stand.”

    I love paul Walker So much!! He’s s such A good actor because he is somebody we can all relate too!! This movie looks so good & I can’t wait to see it!! I looked for some of his other movies on netflix and couldn’t find the one I wanted. I hear he is engaged and SHE Wants to get married in Hawaii!! When you find that “SPECIAL SOMEONE” you should grab them by the hand and never EVER look back! Puddle Of Mud song is like that called ” We don’t have to look back now! Love Ya, Paul <3 P.S.- Hope you had A good birthday-mine is tomorrow 9/11! Nobody ever forgets that day!

    So glad Pantelion executives saw this at SXSW. I thought it was gripping, tense, and very moving.I’m looking forward to watching it again in December.
