Ghost story to shoot in September

“Grace” helmer Paul Solet has come on board to direct ghost story “Dark Summer” for Preferred Film & TV.

Content will handle international sales next week at Cannes and will share North American sales duties with Preferred Content’s Kevin Iwashina. Shooting is set to begin in the fall.

PFT‘s Ross M. Dinerstein is producing and Content Film’s Jamie Carmichael is exec producing.

Mike Le scripted the supernatural story, which centers on a 17-year-old boy who is placed under house arrest for the summer while his mother is away on business.

Content’s Cannes slate will also include PFT’s “The Pact 2,” “Mr. Jones,”  Caradog James’ “The Machine,” Paul Tanter’s “He Who Dares,” Anthony Leonardi III’s “Nothing Left to Fear” and Sean McNamara’s family adventure “Space Warriors.”

Solet is repped by Paradigm and Principato Young and Le is represented by APA and manager Jonathan Hung.
