Paramount and MGM have begun developing a sequel to “Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters, ” which recently passed the $200 million marker at the worldwide box office.

Will Ferrell, Adam McKay and Kevin Messick are expected to return to produce through their Gary Sanchez banner along with Beau Flynn.

The pic starred Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton and put a new spin on the classic fairytale characters by turning the characters into bounty hunters who specialize in hunting witches.

The dark fantasy grossed a middling $55 million at the domestic B.O.,  but it thrived overseas, grossing more than $150 million internationally for a global total of $205 million.
