Oscilloscope Laboratories has acquired N. American rights to Matt Wolf’s documentaryTeenage,” which premiered this year at the Tribeca Film Festival.

Based on Jon Savage’s the best-selling book, “Teenage” explores the genesis of youth culture from 1875-1945 from America to England to Nazi Youth in Germany.

“‘Teenage’ is an incredibly unique, incredibly profound film about a subject as strange as it is relatable,” Oscilloscope’s Dan Berger and David Laub said in a statement.

Produced by Jason Schwartzman, Philipp Engelhorn and Michael Raisler, “Teenage” will hit theaters and other platforms sometime in 2014.
