New Line Dates ‘Horrible Bosses 2’ for Thanksgiving Day Weekend 2014

Only other film opening in that slot is the Fox animated pic "Home"

With the returning cast signed up and a new director on board, New Line has slated “Horrible Bosses 2” for Nov. 26, 2014.

Jason Bateman, Jason Sudeikis and Charlie Day are set to return with Sean Anders on board to direct.

Brett Ratner and Jay Stern are producing with John Cheng and John Rickard are exec producing.

The only other film set to bow that weekend is the Fox animated film “Home.” Lionsgate’s “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay” does open on Nov. 21 and should have a big impact on the Thanksgiving weekend, but since “Horrible Bosses 2” will appeal more to younger men, it should serve as good counterprograming for the Thanksgiving Day weekend.

The first “Horrible Bosses” overperformed at the box office, bringing in more than $200 million worldwide.
