New Line Delays ‘Vacation’ Reboot

New Line Delays 'Vacation' Reboot

Movie had been set to start shooting in July

New Line is taking a vacation from “Vacation,” delaying  plans for its remake due to unspecified creative differences.

Studio had been in pre-production with a July start date in Atlanta for the comedy, with Ed Helms and Christina Applegate in the lead roles.

“Horrible Bosses” scribes John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein were set to make their feature directorial debut from a script they penned. It’s uncertain when production will start.

The new version of the Griswolds’ “Vacation” adventures will follow grown-up son (Helms), who has his own family misadventures on the road. David Dobkin is producing through his David Dobkin Prods.

Chevy Chase and Beverly D’Angelo had been attached to appear in the reboot, three decades after starring in the original.
