Nadia Tass Directs Valentine

Project based on comic series about contract killer

Nadia Tass has come on board to direct indie actioner “Valentine: Brains, Beauty and Bullets” for C2 Entertainment and Filmlook Media and Post.

Producers are C2 Entertainment principals Anna Cordova and Robert Faber, who are in pre-production. The film is based on the Dana Valentine comic book series written and illustrated by Daniel Cooney for Red Eye Press, centering on a female contract-killer who has an addictive attraction to risk and violence.

The screenplay, adapted by Huston Huddleston, explores Dana Valentine’s past and how she has become a liability to everyone she has ever met.

Tass’ debut in feature directing was 1986’s “Malcolm,” which won eight Australian Film Institute awards including best film and best director. Her other credits include “Matching Jack,” “Amy” and “Death in Paradise.”

C2 Entertainment is planning for a production budget in the $25 to $30 million range.
