Monterey Media Acquires 'Between Us' North

Stiles, Diggs, George, Harbour star in couples comedy

Monterey Media has acquired North American rights to Dan Mirvish’s relationship comedy “Between Us” for a summer release.

Mirvish produced along with Hans Ritter and Mike S. Ryan.

Movie stars Julia Stiles, Taye Diggs, Melissa George and David Harbour in the adaptation the  off-Broadway play “Between Us.”  Story centers on two couples who meet up again as old friends and discover their lives have drastically changed since the last time they saw each other.

Mirvish, along with playwright Joe Hortua, penned the script. Hortua’s “Between Us” was first commissioned as a play by South Coast Repertory Theater and premiered at New York City’s  Manhattan Theater Club in 2004.

The film won the grand prize at last year’s Bahamas Intl. Film Festival.
