Ben Affleck has received the Bat Seal of Approval from a Caped Crusader alumnus.

Michael Keaton was asked last night by a TMZ photographer about the news that Affleck would be be playing Batman in the upcoming Batman/Superman flick.

“He’s gonna be great!” Keaton said a few times, after admitting he only “just” heard the news.

Not everyone shares Keaton’s opinion — the Internet has been overrun by fan outrage and petitions to Warner Bros. to have Affleck removed.

Keaton himself knows a thing or two about fan backlash — he was not a popular choice for the role back in 1989.

  1. But then, Adam West isn’t Bruce Wayne or Batman, Micheal Keaton isn’t Bruce Wayne and Val Kilmer and George Clooney isn’t Batman, but Christian Bale are Bruce Wayne and Batman!

And Ben Affleck also could be Bruce Wayne and Batman, it’s all right?

Finally, in general, all of these actors are great and optimum actors, without a doubt!

  2. I’d appaud it too if I was Keaton. Noe he has no competition whatsoever. Affleck is a verifiable douche and will never hold a candle to Keaton.

Bale had the dumbest Batman voice but people thought he was so good that it must have bugged Keaton to have never applauded the guy, instead when speaking about the whole “accuracy” of Begins said “When I was a kid I was getting laid not reading comic books” LOL. This time it’s a no brainer and Keaton knows it. Affleck will be an annoying douche with a sht-eating grin as usual. If the movie turns out to be great, Affleck will still be the weakest link that almost ruined it all.

  3. I think he will be good. He cant be any worse than clooney

  4. Ben he should feel bad for not letting new actors get a chance when he already played dare devil. Scott Adkins would of been a very good choice to play Batman.Scott Adkins is Batman PERIOD! And don’t give me he cant act.
Whoever says that go watch batman and robin with A class Actors. Scott
moves like batman fights like batman and looks like Bruce Wayne. Scott
should of been the new batman. I am tired of seeing known actors
getting these parts. I want a new fresh actor to play batman. And I
choose Scott Adkins. Don’t believe me go to Scott Adkins For Batman –
MAN OF STEEL 2/WORLD’S FINEST paste that in YouTube search bar.

    • Marvelman says:

Yes, I agree DC missed out on not choosing Scott Adkins. He was great in Assassin Games. He wouldn’t even need a stunt double. If Ben backs out get Scott Adkins.

  5. Johnnie says:

Stop suggesting Channing Tatum. Then it’s just two people the same age. An older Batman could open the door to life lessons imparted from an older, seasoned, maybe even bitter veteran superhero, to a younger, greener superhero.
Not everything has to be young and hot and awesome.
Think of the story as well.
“Story?” But I want Batman to be young, hot and awesome…like me!”
    OK, idiot.

  6. Ronald says:

Ben Affleck as Batman oh my god. Didnt he already murdered Daredevil? Channing Tatum would of been a better choice.

  7. The Kingslayer says:

Anytime I now see Michael Keaton I keep waiting to hear him drop a TLC song.

  8. Fin A More says:

Jesus this TMZ guy made me want to punch the guy for Michael Keaton. What a douche.
