Mel Raido to Co-star with Gemma Arterton in ‘Gemma Bovery’

Mel Raido is set to star in the indie “Gemma Bovery” with Gemma Arterton.

Anne Fontaine is directing with Philippe Carcassonne and Faye Ward producing.

Pic is from Posy Simmonds’ graphic novel, which is loosely based on Gustave Flaubert’s “Madame Bovary” and is about a young English woman who marries and moves to rural France.

Raido will play a charming food writer and critic who is also the ex-boyfriend of Bovary.

Raido, who is repped by Emptage Hallett, DBA and Mosaic, was most recently seen in “In Our Name.”
