'Man of War' set in Carpanthian Mountains

Lotus Entertainment and Sourian Prods. have come on board to develop Navy Seal actioner “Man of War,” based on a script by playwright Joseph Sousa.

Mark Sourian is producing, following Aaron Paul starrer “Need for Speed,” opening March 14.

“Man of War” centers on a Navy Seal who escapes into the Carpathian mountains in winter after being captured by terrorists. He must use all of his survival skills to avoid recapture as thoughts of his wife and new baby drive him.

Lotus’s Bill Johnson, Jim Seibel, Ara Keshishian and D.J. Gugenheim are exec producing, along with Jessica Jordan. CAA will sell domestic and Lotus Entertainment will handle international sales.

Sousa is a New York-based  playwright.  Sourian is exec producing “Devlivery Man.” Lotus is developing “Maggie” with Arnold Schwarzenegger on board and attached Brad Anderson to “Restart.”

Sousa is repped by CAA.
