X-Men: First Class” star Lucas Till, Maria Bello and Tom Everett Scott have boarded the ensemble indie drama “Strings.”

Daniel Duran will direct and will produce along with Oscar Torres and Danny Rodriguez.

Story follows a talented DJ, played by Till, who succumbs to the pressures of the industry and sets out to find himself on a trip to his father’s house in North Dakota. Along the way, he meets a girl who as instant impact on his life. Torres penned the script.

The part would mark a leap into leading man status for Till, who after breaking out in “X-Men: First Class,” has had several strong supporting roles while he awaited for a strong lead role. Till is repped by APA and WCM and was most recently seen in Fox Searchlight’s “Stoker” and can be seen next in the Relativity thriller “Paranoia.”

Bello is repped by CAA and John Carrabino Management and can be seen next in Sony’s “Grown Ups 2″ as well as the Alcon thriller “Prisoners” with Hugh Jackman. Everett Scott is repped by Paradigm and John Carrabino Management and was most recently seen in the Fox pic “Parental Guidance.”
