The Exchange Heading 'Camden' (EXCLUSIVE)

Intrigue on board to produce

The Exchange is heading to “Camden,” moving toward production after closing a low-to-mid six-figure deal for Lucas Carter’s action script.

“Camden” will be a co-production between The Exchange and Intrigue Entertainment, with financing from Exchange Peaks Film Capital, its newly minted film fund with Grand Peaks Entertainment.

The Exchange’s Laura Ivey will produce with Intrigue’s Tariq Jalil. Carter and Alex Vinnitski of The Exchange will co-produce; Brian O’Shea of The Exchange and Alan Simpson of Grand Peaks will exec produce.

“Camden” centers on a love story between the President’s daughter and a young Secret Service agent posing as a college student to protect her. When a rogue military group storms their isolated campus and takes everyone hostage, the young agent must rescue the first daughter, stop a larger hidden plan and reveal his true identity in order to save her.

“‘Camden’ is a perfect opportunity to move into production, which perfectly compliments our core business of international sales,” said O’Shea.

Exchange Peaks is in production on the thriller “Swelter,” starring Lennie James, Alfred Molina, Catalina Sandino, Josh Henderson and Jean-Claude Van Damme. It’s working on the upcoming production of Richard LaGravenese’s “The Last Five Years,” starring Anna Kendrick and Jeremy Jordan.

Carter is repped by Brooklyn Weaver of Energy Entertainment.
