Liotta reunites with ‘Muppets’ for sequel

Thesp appeared in 1999's 'Muppets From Space'

Ray Liotta, who played a gate guard in 1999’s “Muppets From Space,” has been cast in Disney’s sequel to “The Muppets.”

Original helmer James Bobin returns to direct from a script he co-wrote with Nicholas Stoller.

European-set caper will feature new human stars including Tina Fey as a Russian gulag prison guard, Ty Burrell as a lazy Interpol inspector and Ricky Gervais.

Liotta’s role is being kept under wraps.

David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman are producing for Mandeville, and production starts in London this month.

Liotta, who just joined the cast of Robert Rodriguez’s “Sin City: A Dame to Kill For,” recently co-starred alongside Brad Pitt in “Killing Them Softly.” Thesp will soon be seen in Derek Cianfrance’s crime drama “The Place Beyond the Pines,” Ariel Vromen’s crime film “The Iceman” and the indie pic “Better Living Through Chemistry.”

He’s repped by UTA, Untitled Entertainment and attorney Craig Jacobson.
