LONDON — Lars Mikkelsen, who stars in Danish crime drama “The Killing,” has been cast alongside Ashley Walters, Adam Deacon and teen newcomer McKell David in London action movie “Montana,” directed by Mo Ali.
Mikkelsen plays a Serbian hitman who comes to London on a mission against a local gangster, and teams up by chance with a young drugs courier (David) who wants revenge against the same crime lord. The assassin ends up mentoring his protege in the dark arts of professional killing.
Written by Jeremy Sheldon and Peter Lowe, the pic is produced by Gareth Maxwell Roberts and Mark Foligno of Molifilms. Shooting started Feb. 18 on location in London. Salt is handling international sales.
The cast also includes Brad Moore, Zlatko Buric and Michelle Fairley.
Ali made his feature debut in 2010 with urban actioner “Shank.”
“Montana” is the third feature from Molifilms since Foligno relaunched the company on the back of his success as exec producer of “The King’s Speech.” The company’s previous credits include “Best Laid Plans” and “The Rise.”
