Julian Sands to Take ‘Six Dance Lessons’ (EXCLUSIVE)

Filming beginning in Budapest

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo” thesp Julian Sands has joined “Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks,”  rounding out the cast of the film version of the Broadway play.

The Brit will portray the owner of the dance studio where an instructor (Cheyenne Jackson) teaches ballroom dancing to a Florida retiree (Gena Rowlands). Jacki Weaver, Rita Moreno, Kathleen Rose Perkins, Anthony Zerbe and Simon Miller are also in the cast.

Movie is based on Richard Alfieri’s adaptation of his play of the same name. Shooting began Monday in Budapest.

Budapest-based Docler Entertainment is producing, in association with Los Angeles-based Entpro. Producers are Gyorgy Gattyan, Andras Somkuti and Thomas H. Brodek.

Pic is helmed by Arthur Allan Seidelman, who directed legit productions on Broadway, at the Geffen Playhouse in Los Angeles, and in London’s West End.

    I loved Julian Sands in Warlock and am going to be purchasing some of his movies to daydream a little!! Wow! He was and still is a gorgeous man! He’s so talented and I admire his ability to portray so many different characters in movies and his passion for the arts;stage acting etc.. Beautiful man! Sincerely.
