Cameron Dillavou also upped to VP, international marketing

As Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment looks to grow Digital HD as a brand around the globe, Fox’s homevideo arm has tapped Julia Howe to serve as senior VP, brand marketing, North America.

Separately, Cameron Dillavou has been promoted to VP, international marketing, reporting to Tom Warner, senior VP, international marketing.

In the post, Howe will oversee North America brand marketing for all new live action release for Fox Home Entertainment. That means overseeing the domestic marketing and PR campaigns for individual releases and managing how the titles are promoted online and in stores. She also will be instrumental in hyping the Digital HD brand, which offers up digital versions of films before they’re available on traditional disc formats.

Her first pics include “The Wolverine” and “Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters.”

She reports to Vincent Marcais, executive VP, worldwide marketing.

“Julia is a dynamic executive with an excellent mix of strategic brand and operational marketing experience,” Marcais said. “Her global outlook and keen understanding of the digital space will be tremendous asset to Fox and we’re excited to welcome her back to the Fox team.”

Howe most recently served as marketing director, EMEA & Asia, for the Associated Press, where she was responsible for developing strategy for all aspects of marketing outside the United States and Latin America with a focus on driving revenue growth from platforms targeting new digital customer segments.

Before that, she spent six years at Branded, a London-based brand and communications firm providing strategic marketing consultancy to clients looking to grow revenues in the online and digital space.

Dillavou will lead the development of international product offerings, release strategy and campaign execution for the live action portfolio of new release feature films. She already has managed over 100 international marketing campaigns, including the recent campaign for James Bond actioner “Skyfall,” whose homevid release broke records in the U.K. and Germany. Dillavou also oversaw a consumer anti-piracy campaign in Russia.

She started her career with Twentieth Century Fox in 2007 as a director of international new release marketing.
