Josephson boards ‘Annihilator’

Magic Storm pic created by Stan Lee, penned by Dan Gilroy

Film and TV producer Barry Josephson has come aboard Magic Storm Entertainment’s brewing superhero pic “Annihilator,” created by Stan Lee and penned by Dan Gilroy.

Josephson, producer of films including “Enchanted” and “The Ladykillers” and the exec producer of FOX skein “Bones,” will be joined by producer Douglas Falconer (“The Warrior’s Way”) on “Annihilator,” to be funded in part by China’s National Film Capital.

Written by Gilroy (“The Bourne Legacy,” “Real Steel”), the storyline centers on a Chinese expat who, rather than face jail time, signs up to be genetically enhanced as part of a top secret supersoldier program.

Magic Storm was launched in 2011 to develop a slate of superhero pics with global crossover appeal, especially in Asian markets.
