Joaquin Phoenix Looks for Love in ‘Her’ Trailer

Warner opening Spike Jonze film on Nov. 20

Warner Bros. has posted the first trailer for Spike Jonze’s “Her,” starring Joaquin Phoenix as a lonely writer who manages to hit it off with his new computer operating system, voiced by Scarlett Johansson as an engaging voice program and virtual companion.

The trailer also depicts Amy Adams as a possible new love interest and Rooney Mara as his former love interest.

Warner Bros. will open “Her” on Nov. 20 in limited release in New York, Los Angeles and Toronto with other cities to follow. The Annapurna Pictures production also stars Chris Pratt and Olivia Wilde.

Jonze is producing along with Vincent Landay and Megan Ellison. He directed “Being John Malkovich,” “Adaptation” and “Where the Wild Things Are.”

  1. Love, sometimes unfortunately, is where you find it. Spike Jonze promises a take on the subject which appears at first blush a new-age technological spin on “modern” romance, reminiscent of “S1mOne” with Al Pacino. “HER” acting as a logical extension (if not continuation) of that prior film.

    Could be stirring; should be bittersweet.

    I like him sounds interesting we love movies and being entertained we will rent at redbox for 1.20 its all we can afford hope to see him in another gladiator type and a scarey movie soon keep up the good work good luck enjoy your fame and riches.
