Jenno Topping to head film division at Chernin Ent.

Exec fills role held by Dylan Clark

Chernin Entertainment has promoted Jenno Topping to president of the company’s film division, filling the role vacated by Dylan Clark last year.

Topping, who joined Chernin two years, will report directly to Peter Chernin and oversee all aspects of the development and production of the company’s films.

Company has also added David Ready as senior VP. Ready previously served as senior VP of production for Lorenzo di Bonaventura’s production company.

Chernin plans to continue to grow its development and production group.

Prior to Chernin, Topping spent nearly ten years as a producer of pics including “Country Strong,” the “Charlie’s Angels franchise” and “28 Days.” Before that, she served as an exec with HBO Films.

In his previous position with di Bonaventura, Ready co-produced projects including “Red” and worked on its upcoming sequel. Other credits include exec producer on “Man on a Ledge” and work on the upcoming “Jack Ryan.”

Housed at 20th Century Fox, Chernin is currently at work on “Dawn on the Planet of the Apes.” Company’s upcoming releases include “The Heat” and “Oblivion.”
