FilmNation’s EVP, Worldwide Production Allison Silver brought the project into FilmNation, which negotiated its deal with CAA.  CAA will also package the project and represent the film’s domestic distribution rights.

The project would be the first film Lawrence would produce who after a whirlwind 2012 with huge success at the box office with “The Hunger Games” and an Oscar on “Silver Linings Playbook,” Lawrence is now looking for a little more creative control on the projects she is involved in.

She can be seen next in Lionsgate’s “Catching Fire” and Sony’s “American Hustle.” She is repped by CAA and attorney’s Gretchen Rush and Steven Warren.

I think Jennifer Lawrence is one of the best actresses of her generation. She’s so talented and natural. She sends out a great message for teenage girls. She blew me away in The Poker House, Winter’s bones, silver linings Playbook and in many more ! I really hope the industry won’t change her because she’s already amazing.

Jennifer Lawrence has been critically acclaimed since her first film and that’s long before Winter’s Bone, The Hunger Games or Silver Linings Playbook. Jennifer Lawrence’s wonderful talent, screen presence is being recognized by the best in the business. Good for her, good for film lovers.

  7. Jo says:

Forever mystified at her success. I just don’t get her appeal

    • Bobby says:

My thoughts exactly! She’s an average actress at best.

      • Rich Ramsey says:

Let’s see . . . Oscar nominated … Oscar winner …. chosen by SAG peers ,,,,, earlier, best upcoming ,,,,, entertainer of the year ….. Hmmm ….. guess you’re right …. that sounds about average for a 23 year old actress . . . .

      • winston says:

@Jo and Bobby-It’s one of life’s unending frustrations that other people don’t necessarily like what we like. If it means anything, I never understood Meryl Streep’s appeal, which has caused no end of frustration. As to Jennifer, she’s as gifted an actress as I have ever seen.
