Illeana Douglas, Nadine Velazquez Join Indie

Indie drama stars Reid Scott

Illeana Douglas, Nadine Velazquez (“Flight”), Serinda Swan, John Heard and newcomer Grace Kaufman have joined the cast of indie drama “Sister” opposite Reid Scott (“Veep”) and Barbara Hershey.

Inspired by true events, the story centers on a struggling, self-centered actor (played by Scott) forced to take custody of an 11-year-old adopted sister that he barely knows.

David Lascher is directing from a script he co-wrote with producer Todd Camhe.  Peter Winther is also producing with Matt Luber and Tony Caille exec producing.

“Sister” is currently filming in Los Angeles.
