Greg Berlanti Eyes Sony’s ‘Epsilon’ as Next Directing Gig

Michael De Luca is producing

With DreamWorks’ “Robopocalypse” stalling out, Sony is looking to move in with there own robot uprising movie as Greg Berlanti is set to direct the sci-fi pic “Epsilon.”

Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick penning the script and will produce with Michael De Luca.

Story is set after a failed robot rebellion sends Earth back to the analog age.  Seeking refuge on a space station, a few robots escape to raise their own human lab rats as obedient warriors to pave the way for retaliation.  Epsilon stands amongst them until he begins to question all he was led to believe.

Jonathan Kadin is overseeing production for Columbia Pictures. Deluca is overseeing for Michael DeLuca Productions.

This is Berlanti’s first directing gig since helming the Warner Bros pic “Life As We Know It” in 2008. He is repped by WME.
