‘Ginger & Rosa’ to hit theaters March 15

A24 dates Sally Potter's coming of age drama

Newly minted distributor A24 has set a March 15 limited release for Sally Potter’s coming-of-age drama “Ginger & Rosa.”

Pic, starring Elle Fanning, world preemed at the Telluride Film Festival followed by a special presentation at the Toronto Film Festival. A24 acquired the North American rights in late September.

“Ginger & Rosa” will open against Warner’s comedy “The Incredible Burt Wonderstone” and Sony’s thriller “The Call.” The film also stars Alice Englert, Alessandro Nivola, Christina Hendricks, Timothy Spall, Oliver Platt and Annette Bening.

Story, set in 1962 London, concerns two teenage girls who are inseparable. “Ginger & Rosa” was produced by Christopher Sheppard and Andrew Litvin for Adventure Pictures.
