Fox Picks Up ‘Who Is Jake Ellis?’ With David Yates on Board to Direct

Fox has picked up rights to the Image comicbook “Who Is Jake Ellis?” with David Yates attached to direct.

Chernin Entertainment is producing.

Story follows a former CIA analyst and mercenary spy on the run who is protected only by the mysterious title character “Jake Ellis,” a man seemingly invisible to everyone except him but who has a unique knowledge of certain things the analyst desperately needs.

David Ready will oversee for Chernin, and Jason Young will oversee for Fox.

The CAA-repped Yates is currently meeting with actors for Warner Bros.’ reboot of “Tarzan,” which he is directing.

The Hollywood Reporter first reported the news.
