Fox Denies Arnold Schwarzenegger ‘Avatar 2’ Rumor

Fox Denies Arnold Schwarzenegger 'Avatar 2'

A spokesman for 20th Century Fox has denied an Internet report which claimed Arnold Schwarzenegger would play the villain in “Avatar 2.”

On Monday, movie blog Latino Review wrote that director James Cameron and “The Terminator” would reunite on the upcoming sci-fi tentpole with Schwarzenegger playing a villainous military general in, but the studio told Variety on Tuesday that the story is not factual.

“No truth to this,” the rep said.

While Schwarzenegger may be on a list of possible actors, the casting process has just gotten underway for Cameron and producer Jon Landau.

Avatar 2,” which goes into production next year, arrives in theaters Dec. 2016.
