Four team for 42

Aitken, Pugh, Varney, Buckley set up management-prodco

LONDON — Producers Rory Aitken and Ben Pugh, literary agent Josh Varney and talent agent Kate Buckley have teamed to launch U.K.-based management and production company 42, it was announced Tuesday.

The company will develop and produce film and TV content as well as represent a roster of actors, helmers and scripters. Clients include Michael Caine, John Hurt, Paul Bettany, Jonny Lee Miller, Christopher Lee, Emily Mortimer, Ben Drew, Peter Cattaneo, Noel Clarke, Terry George, Rupert Friend, Eran Creevy and William Monahan.

Upcoming films include Creevy’s “Welcome to the Punch,” starring James McAvoy, which releases in the U.K. and U.S. in March, and “Autobahn,” which will lense in March.

Varney and Buckley will continue to share clients with Independent Talent Group, where both previously worked.
