Film Movement Takes North America For ‘Tanta Agua’

Uruguayan title won grand prize at Miami fest

Film Movement has acquired North American rights to Uruguayan comedy “Tanta Agua” for release later this year.

“Agua,” the first feature from directors Ana Guevara and Leticia Jorge, depicts a divorced father with two adolescent children as they come together for a special vacation that is promptly thwarted.

The film screened earlier this year at Berlin in the Panorama section. It won the grand prize and best screenplay awards at the Miami International Film Festival and the best first film award at the Guadalajara Film Festival.

Deal was negotiated by Film Movement’s Rebeca Conget with Virginie Devesa of Alpha Violet.
